Lakers let one slip away

Tha Lakers came out strong looking like the playoff team they were at the end of last season beginning the game with an impressive march down the field and followed that up with another impressive drive only to turn the ball over as they got close to the red zone. By half they had a 20 - 6 lead and seemed to have a good handle on the game.

Unfortunately for the Lakers they watched their lead evaporate as Carrollton drove down the field twice to tie the game.

Lakers answered with an 80 yard TD romp courtesy of Luke Voelker to put the Lakers up once again.

After penalties cost the Lakers an opportunity to advance the ball and keep possession, Carrollton made their final drive that would put them up for good and hand the Lakers their first loss of the year.
