I tend to agree, the Bearcats went old-school with their grind out the clock, drive down the field and score mentality on offense with all their scores coming on short runs. But they could have put up more points if they wanted to, they could have left their first team in longer if they had chosen.
I dare say this score could have been whatever they want it to be, had they chosen to keep their top players in for the entire game. Defensively, had Sweeney wanted to shut them out, he could have simply left the first team in the entire game.
I say this all, because if you look at the scores for the last several weeks, you see Ubly giving up points, but a majority of them are coming against the second team. I'm sure people will try to hold those scores against them, but there is no doubt they are the Thumb's top team and here is one sports guy who can't wait for their showdown with Brown City in WEEK SEVEN of what the media has dubbed Championship Week (Lakers faces Reese that week in game that should decide the GTW).
Look for a full report in Wednesday's paper.
