Former Ubly Athletes make awesome movie

For those looking for tonight's basketball pictures, check out the post below. For everyone else, mark your calendars in what could be a once in a lifetime event, there will be a major movie premiere held in good old, downtown Ubly.

Former Ubly football standouts Grant Pichla, Patrick Murdock and a handful of others have written, filmed, produced, edited and promoted their movie High School Heist. I've seen the trailer and I can't wait to go.

The Huron County Press will have an exclusive in our paper Wednesday on the making of the movie, but until then, here are the details of the event:

The premiere showing of the student made film, High School Heist, will be December 20th at the Sleeper Public Library in Ubly. Showing times are at 9:00 and 9:30 (possibly at 10:00 if needed). The film is 22 minutes long, and the cost is only $2.00, which will be used to pay the rental fee of the library. A sign up for the DVD of High School Heist will also be available, cost $10.00 (not needed until delivery). The DVD includes both full screen and widescreen versions and TONS of special features, including:-Director’s Commentary-Bloopers/Deleted Scenes-1920’s version of High School Heist-Production StillsAnd at least 15 other videos that were created during our media class last year.PLEASE let me know if you are planning on coming, because the library can only seat 60 at a time, and I don’t want more than that to show up for the first show. Otherwise, I would have to tell people to wait until the 9:30 show. At least let me know what time you want to watch, and I’ll have you reserved on a list. Thanks.Once again, here are some movie posters and the trailer can be viewed in HD at http://vimeo.com/2247766 By the way, spread the word.
