Boys Basketball
North Huron 72, Akron-Fairgrove 51The Warriors continued their dominance in the NCTL, improving to 6-0 in league play with this 21 point win over the Vikings.
North Huron jumped out to a 20-10 lead after the first and took a 45-22 lead into the half.
For the Warriors, Sean Clancy scored in double figures for the seventh straight game with 13 points, including two triples and a 3-for-4 effort from the line.
Anthony Irvine rebounded from a two point effort against Deckerville with a game-high 15 points, while Mike Bucholtz and John Iseler added 12 points apiece.
Owen-Gage 71, Port Hope 44The Bulldogs lead 20-9 after the first and never looked back in this NCTL showdown.
Owen-Gage took a 38-21 edge into the half and put the game away by outscoring the Bluestars 24-5 in the third.
Nick Zaleski led the Bulldogs with 18 points, while Ryan Francis added 13. Devon Prich added 12 points on four three-pointers, bringing his season total (for reported games) to 17. Eric Montreuil added 10 points, including three triples.
Overall, the Bulldogs converted on eight of their three point attempts against Port Hope.
The Bluestars where led by 11 points from Nevin Pleiness, while Brandon Smith added eight. Tyler Oeschger and Ryan Abraham chipped in seven points each for Port Hope, who dropped to 1-5 in league play.
