Not so fast.

Major League was a much better baseball comedy than Bull Durham. Bull Durham was nice, but Bob Uecker stole this movie with his one liners.

Harry Doyle: "That's all one GD hit. Assistant: "You can't say GD on the air." Harry Doyle: "Ahh, don't worry, nobody is listening anyway."

The line of the movie in my opinion.

Kevin Costner will be represented in the finals though.

Field of dreams simply tugs at your heart strings and makes you want to build a baseball field in your back yard.

James Earl Jones describes so well what baseball means to this country.

Yes, the one fact is clear, is that Costner is makng it to the finals... apparently to face himself.

I'm picking Bull Durham over Major League, in a game that was a really close call for me. First of all I love Major League, great movie, great one-liners but the story of the underdog winning in the end is not all that unique.
However, Bull Durham was a honest, truly funny and unique look at minor league baseball that has never been approached again. It fact, it falls in dramedy category when Costner doesn't get called up to the show.
In the bottom bracket,I look out voted but I'm going with Rudy. I'm a sucker for movies about real people or real life events first of all.
Secondly, it is a story that I really can understand.Haven't we all felt like we were the underdog, like no one felt we were good enough. That we had to fight the odds to make something of ourselves. That is how Rudy makes me feel.
I've got to go, I'm figthing off man tears.
