Finally... the Elite Eight

After a slow down on the fast paced tourney, we're back up and running.
Here's how the Elite Eight is shaking out:
MIDWEST
#1 Hoosiers vs. #2 Bull Durham

WEST
#8 Brewster's Millions vs. #3 Major League

SOUTH
#4 Happy Gilmore vs. #2 Rudy

EAST
#1 Field of Dreams vs. #10 Dodge Ball

Interesting to note that comedies are dominating at this point with a 5-3 advantage. Will that continue?

My thoughts on the upcoming games:
MIDWEST
Bull Durham over Hoosiers

WEST
Major League over Brewster's Millions- Thanks for the memories Pryor and Candy (that is meant in all sincerity).

SOUTH
Rudy over Happy Gilmore- The "Mister, Mister" Lady says, "Get me out of here." Notre Dame is happy to oblige.

EAST
Field of Dreams over Dodge Ball-The dreams of a Dodge Ball upset are ended. If you throw it, they will duck.

So the question remains, who is the most represented actor in the Elite Eight?
Kevin Costner... no.
Denzel Washington... no.
How about Chelcie Ross? After a collective "Who", I'll fill you in.
Ross played Ed Harris in Major League, a concerned (pain in the butt) town person in Hoosiers, and Dan Devine in Rudy.
Thought you guys might enjoy that nugget.

Nice actor reset. Chalk to the Final Four. Hoosiers is one of the greatest films ever made, regardless that it has something to do with sports or not.

Hoosiers, Major League, Rudy, Field of Dreams......Dodgeball sucked, can't believe it made it this far

Finally, Mumbles has come back to Chris' blog.

Midwest
Bull Durham over Hoosiers: Could be Costner vs. Costner in the finals.

West
Major League over Brewster's Millions: When this tournament started, I didn't think Brewster's Millions had much of a chance. But as Harry Doyle would say, Brewster's Millions is "Just a bit outside."

South
Happy Gilmore over Rudy: The price is wrong Rudy.

East
Field of Dreams over Dodgeball: For the record, Dodgeball is a very, very funny movie Rick. But there's just something about that damn corn field that keeps me watching that movie. This decision is the reason it took me so long to post. I was torn between perhaps the best comedy remaining and maybe the best sports movie ever made.

That's what I have for now IF YOU SMELL WHAT MUMBLES IS...

No that's not it.

Let's try this one, I am the best there is, the best there was...

No that's not it either.

Ohhoo yeah dig...

Nope.

This is it.

Mr. Mumbles.............................. mumbles........

Mumbles did you remember to raise your eye brow after saying "If you smell what Mubles is..."

By the way, you say you're everywhere, I take it from your post you might be heading to... Wrestlemania 23?

It looks like three teams have punched their tickets to the Final Four: Major League, Rudy, and Field of Dreams...
However, Hoosiers and Bull Durham are tied. I'm going to let this sit for a while and hope another poster shows up to break it up.
If not... I've got a tough decision along the lines of Bud Selig and the All-Star came he allowed to be a tie.
If that is the case after say Saturday afternoon, Hoosiers and Durham will both advance and face Major League in a three-way dance with the winner advancing to the finale.

Let me help you break the tie here.

Here's my picks - Bull Durham, Major League, Rudy, Field of Dreams.

Bring on the Final Four.

So Rick, you're saying you're changing your vote to Ddogeball? It takes a big man to admit when he is wrong.
Just kidding, but I have to give some crap to the lone Sparty fan posting on this board!
