Ugly but Effective

In a game that featured the two top ladies teams in the league that would have major implications in the league standings, one would have expected a high intensity, well played game.
If that was what fans were looking for, they were in the wrong gym Thursday night in Reese.
The Lady Pats had 13 turnovers in the first half alone and didn't play up to their potential. Fortunately, they were able to play just well enough.
They were able to shut down the Rocket offense and held them to just 7 points in the first quarter before Reese came roaring back to pull within 4 at the half 26-22.
It was "gut check time" according to Coach Dave Bitzer when he called a timeout late in the fourth quarter. He asked his girls who wanted the win more - and they responded hitting some big shots down the stretch to capture a 4 point victory and a share of first place in the GTW.
