Ubly was out to send a message on Friday and they did, holding Rochester Lutheran Hills Northwest to 39 yards of total offense...not a misprint. So much for a defense everyone doubted. Offensively, Justin Cleary ran for over 150 and everyone got involved from the regulars like Nash and Terassi to JV call-ups like Jimmy Shaw and Nick Sweeney.
Hopefully this effort silences the doubters...

Great pictures tonight Chris! I especially like the one of Weber getting the sack on RHLN's qb.

Chris did someone think the Booms TD catch was controversial? From the angle we saw it from up top it was a great catch with nothing to debate.....both feet in with possesion?
Someone else must have seen it differently?

Let me get this straight... Laker's loose to Reese (twice), Vassar wins over Reese, Vassar wins over Beecher (Impressive) and Ubly beat Vassar. Ubly is a good football team I would say.

I agree with you whole heartly about Ubly being a good football team But what is with Thumbtailgaters they wont do a Ubly game someone scare Eddy Fury or what. Alot of advertising money came from the Center of the Thumb IE. Bad axe, Ubly,D-Ville,even Kinde North Huron the last couple of years. But now there doing a St Charles and Reese game. When was the last time you had someone from St.Charles stop in your area to shop they go to Bay City and Saginaw not downtown Bad Axe or heavens forbid The Best Football Town in The Last Decade UBLY

while I understand your point about advertising, the money it will bring in and supporting the local area.....I think doing this game is providing coverage to as many schools and teams as possible without doubling up on a game by media outlets.

This is the first time in a long long time that the regular season has gone by in football and we have not doubled up outlets at one game.
This season for Eddie was a good "test run" to see how well it would go and how well it would be received. To date I would say it has far exceeded the reception he and I thought it might garner.

So it may lead to to changes in the way he covers game next year. I believe he wants to expand too which would lead to more games getting covered. The hard part is pleasing those in the local area along with pleasing those outside of the immediate radio stations signal range and staying away from double coverage......which will probably happen more often if Eddie plans on doing it next season and beyond. It's all a delicate balance.
For every one person that wants to hear Ubly, another wants to hear Vassar and yet another wants to hear Reese and so on and so on.

It seems everyone wanted games streamed live and now no one is happy and people are upset at him for the games he selected.
I could keep going....but enough for now.
