Blue Stars Shine against Caeville

The last two years, the Eagles have spoiled the Blue Stars hopes for District title. This year would be different as the Blue Stars turned the Eagles away 45-38 to advance to the second round.

The Blue Stars were in control most of the way and passed the test in the second quarter when Caseville made their only run of the game (13-2) and took a 22-19 lead into the third quarter.

Thats when the Port Hope D stepped up only allowing 8 points in each of the last two quarters and pulled away from the Eagles scoring 26 of thier own.

The next test for the Bluestars will be All Saints on Wednesday.

The Eagles said goodbye to Meaghan Fortsch and Bethany Grates. "Caseville has some big shoes to fill," said Coach Brian Sigfried.
