You don't have to win a trophy to be a champion and despite losing to Beecher 59-49 in the regional finals at Marlette tonight, USA proved they were true champions this season; worthy of all the admiration they've recevied in recent weeks.The Pats were down 10 at the half, but cut thinsg to 45-42 with aroudn six minutes to go, but could never get the basket or stop they needed late in the game.
An emotional Mark Gainforth said the hardest part of this all, aside from the loss, will be not being around this great group of kids every day. We'll have more on these games in the Wednesday, March 25 issue of the Huron County Press. Until then, enjoy these photos.
