Too Much for the Bluestars

The Bluestars went up against the powerhouse from Bay City Wednesday night. It didn't take long to see how the game would go as the Cougars went on a 29-0 run to start what would be a very long game for the Bluestars who eventually lost 81-26. Even though Port Hope lost, they scored 20 more points than last year against the same team.

Port Hope didn't put their first points on the board until the 7:25 mark of the second quarter and trailed 56-7 at the half. The second half was more of the same as Port Hope couldn't match the size of the Cougars and weren't able to run with them.

The only bright spot was the game that Brandon Smith had scoring 10 points - 8 of them coming in the fourth quarter and four coming from solid D to create turnovers that led to points.

Love that second pic. Looks like Michael Jordan defending a 10 year old. No offense, Port Hope player, I was your size too back in my high school years!
