Ubly knocked off USA 53-47 to advance to the distirct finals on Friday. Ubly trailed until 4:08 left in the fourth, when Kalya Gentner hit a jumper to give her team a 40-39 lead. Alicia Leipprandt had 10 of her 28 points inthe fourth quarter, Jenn White added nine for Bearcats.
For USA, Jillian Williamson led the team with 15, while Dani Gremel added 14.
For HB, they trailed 1-0, but went on an 18-0 run over the next 8 minutes or so to take a coomnading lead. Bad Axe didn't score an actual field goal until 12 minutes into the game. The Hatchets made a valiant comeback in the second half, but jsut got themselves too far in the hole to begin with. The Pirates won 54-38.
