Cass City – The look in Coach Gardy’s eyes said it all; as he walked off the field teary eyed after talking with his team with four seconds to go in the game. Even though he said there are still things to correct – that couldn’t take away from how proud he was of what the Lakers accomplished in Cass City Friday night. After starting the season 1-3, the Lakers with a 34-27 win over the Red Hawks put them in a spot that they didn’t expect – atop the GTW for good and a possible playoff berth with a win over Sandusky next Friday.
