A look back at Ubly's win

BROWN CITY - Another dominating performance this week by Ubly, who jumped out to a 36-0 lead at the half en route to a 48-8 win.
For a team that prides itself on running the ball and controlling the clock, the Bearcats scored so quickly in the first that Brown City had a time of possession edge of around 16 minutes to 8 minutes.
For Ubly, they scored 2:12 into the game when Keith Kramer scored on a 5 yard run. Later in the first the Bearcats got the ball back with 4:03 in the quarter and 40 seconds later they scored on a 30 yard Td run from Jordan Kaufman. Justin Cleary ran in the 2 point conversion for a 14-0 lead.
Ubly got the ball back with 1:18 remaining in the first and scored on the first play from scrimmage when Kaufman reached paydirt after a 55 yard scamper.
Justin Cleary and Kramer added one more TD each to give Ubly the 36-0 half time lead.
In the second half, Eric Booms and Bryant Messing scored for the Bearcats.
While this wasn't a perfect game for Ubly, it was a little sloppy at times, as coach Sweeney put it, the effort was there. The Bearcats clinched an eighth straight playoff appearance with the win and can clinch a share of the GTE crown with a win over Deckerville next week.
Early predicition, Ubly wins 40-20.

anyone notice that Mitch Cleary did not play last night? Not that it mattered last night but he might be a go for this week against Deckerville.

I've also heard Adam Glaza has been hurt and didn't see him play. However, this is where Ubly's depth is so tremendous...Justin Cleary, Alex Peruski and others handled the workload and things were fine.
