The Warriors had total control of this one even though the score (28-16) would not reflect that. CPS didn’t put up any points until the third quarter – and they were defensive points when they got a safety.
The D stood up well for North Huron, not allowing any offensive points until the fourth quarter when they gave up two quick scores. One of the highlights of the game was the goal line stand as the Warriors turned the Tigers away only to give up two points on a safety three plays later. They put some of their younger players in to get some reps, but the D held tight when it mattered as Erik Dhyse came up with a big interception that sealed the deal for North Huron.
Kevin Rice had a big night for the Warriors with 3 TDS as a wide receiver and also had a big sack toward the end of the game.
The Warrior will prepare for a huge game this coming Friday against Dryden. They need to get a victory on enemy ground to keep their hopes alive for a league title alive.
